Gina Hagler is a freelance writer covering science/technology policy, news and events, and the impact they have on our world and in our lives. She also writes about adoption, food allergies, things to do with kids in the DC Metro area, and sports. Her work has been published in Adoptive Families, Adoption Today, Odyssey, Faces, UniGalactic, and Washington Parent. A piece on Smart Home Technology will appear on the Discovery Channel Tech site in April. She's currently working an a book about hydrodynamics and runs KidWrite! -- an after school writing program for kids.

Ms. Hagler received a Letter of Merit from the SCBWI for her feature on the science of fire. The column she co-authors for Washington Parent received a Gold Level Award for Editorial Content from the PPA. She's a member of the National Association of Science Writers, DC Science Writers, and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators
